Job summary
Placements24 invites a Lead Subsea Engineer to George, Western Cape, to steer design, installation and operation of subsea production systems. You will safeguard integrity, safety and efficiency from conception through decommissioning, directing multidisciplinary teams on challenging deepwater projects.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in subsea engineering, a Mechanical/Ocean Engineering degree (master's preferred), and a proven record delivering complex offshore programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of subsea engineering experience with leading roles.
- Experience with subsea equipment, installation methods and risk assessments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, engineering, procurement and installation of subsea equipment.
- Develop and execute subsea field development plans.
- Manage subsea engineering teams and mentor staff.
- Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for subsea systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, offshore teams and vendors.
- Oversee commissioning and start-up of subsea facilities.
