Job summary

JRL Group Ltd is seeking a Structural Steel Design Co-ordinator to plan, coordinate and monitor the steel design process from initial design through detailing, fabrication support and site installation assistance.

You will bridge engineers, detailers, architects, fabricators and site teams to ensure safe, accurate and efficient steelwork packages that meet programme and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of structural steel design and detailing principles.
• Excellent coordination with engineers, architects, fabricators and site teams.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication drawings clearly.
• Experience with design and detailing software such as Tekla, AutoCAD and BIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the structural steel design process across internal teams and external partners.
• Review drawings, specifications and design information for completeness and buildability.
• Manage design deliverables and drawing issue schedules to meet programme deadlines.
• Support fabrication and erection with design clarifications and revisions.
