Job summary

Citra (citra.build) based in Cape Town is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to lead a team of engineers and technologists to design and sign off Citra buildings and structures. You will design and sign off buildings and structures, focusing on project delivery and engineering management within an international team.

Collaborate with R&D and Excellence Departments to ensure successful project outcomes, using Citra Building Technologies and new materials.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in structural/civil engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience as structural engineer.
Professionally registered engineer with ECSA.
Excellent project and engineering management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of project lifecycle, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, budget tracking, and risk management.
Lead and manage a Structural Engineering Team through all stages of design; perform structural analyses and designs using Citra Building Technologies; compile rational design reports.
Collaborate with international engineering firms during design processes and explore non-standard materials or systems for certification where necessary.
