Job summary

Rmg Recruitment is seeking a visionary Lead Structural Engineer in Cape Town to steer design and analysis of innovative structures. You will guide a team, ensure technical excellence, and drive modern engineering practices across high-rise and infrastructure projects.

The role demands 7+ years in structural engineering, a Master’s degree, and Pr Eng registration with ECSA. Proficiency in SAP2000/ETABS/Revit and strong leadership are essential. Hybrid work arrangement available in Cape Town.

Qualifications

7+ years of structural engineering experience with lead/senior responsibilities.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
Experience with FEA and structural design software.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design for diverse projects, ensuring standards compliance.
Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced modeling software.
Oversee production of detailed drawings, specs, and reports.
Mentor junior engineers to maintain technical excellence and learning.
Collaborate with PMs, architects, and contractors to resolve design challenges.
Review and approve designs and calculations from team and external consultants.
