Job summary

Geotech in South Africa seeks a Professional Structural Engineer to lead planning, design and administration of building and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

You will prepare calculations, technical specifications, tender documentation, and reports; lead a team of designers and draughtspersons; oversee BIM work with ACC; engage with clients and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist.
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in planning, design and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and administer projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare calculations and technical documentation.
• Prepare project and technical specifications.
• Lead an internal project team of designers and draughtspersons.
• Provide input into cost estimates and project reports.
• Review and evaluate technical work and ensure quality.
