Job summary

Lukhozi Consulting Engineers is recruiting a Professional Structural Engineer or Technologist for its Cape Town office. The role covers planning, design and contract administration of building projects from inception to completion.

Applicants must be ECSA-registered and have at least 2 years post-registration experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ACC Docs/Build, BIM and related software is preferred. Strong client focus and ownership of projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on structural engineering.
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
• At least 2 years’ verifiable post-registration experience on building and engineering projects.
• Experience with structural design of reservoirs, water infrastructure, or related structures advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and contract administer projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare engineering calculations and project specifications.
• Lead internal design teams and manage consultants and draughtspersons.
• Prepare tender documents and reports (inception, design, progress, close-out).
• Carry out site and technical meetings, review technical work and provide CPD for staff.
