Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Sports Analytics Manager to lead data initiatives in Rustenburg, North West. You will manage a team of analysts, build models for performance and fan engagement, and translate findings to coaches, management, and marketing.

This on-site role requires strong statistical expertise, coding in R/Python/SQL, and excellent communication. You will drive data-driven decisions and industry-leading insights.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, maths or CS.
• 6+ years in data analysis with 2–3 years in management or leadership.
• Experience in sports analytics or related domain.
• Proficiency in R, Python and SQL.
• Strong data visualization skills using Tableau/Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Familiarity with the sports industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of sports data analysts to a data-driven standard.
• Develop and implement advanced analytical models for performance and talent.
• Analyze fan engagement data to inform marketing and ticketing strategies.
• Oversee collection, cleaning and integration of large datasets from multiple sources.
