Placements24 is seeking a Lead Sports Performance Analyst to join their elite team in Cape Town. You will leverage advanced analytics to drive athlete performance, work with coaches and sport scientists, and translate data into actionable training and game strategies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Sports Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sports performance analysis, with a lead or senior track record.
Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (R, Python, SQL) and sports analytics software.
Strong understanding of biomechanics, physiology, and sports training principles.

Responsibilities

Collect, process, and analyze performance data from training sessions and competitions using specialized software.
Develop and present reports and visualizations highlighting key performance trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with coaching staff to translate data insights into training programs and game strategies.
Identify and implement new metrics and analytical methodologies to gain a competitive edge.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in sports performance analysis.
Stay abreast of trends and technologies in sports science and data analytics.
