Indsafri seeks a highly experienced Lead Solutions Architect to define architectural blueprints and guide delivery of scalable, secure enterprise solutions. You will lead strategic architecture, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure governance across multiple projects while mentoring teams.

You will apply modern patterns (microservices, EDA, DDD), cloud platforms, DevOps, and governance to deliver reusable, testable solutions aligned with business goals.

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Solutions Architect to spearhead the design and delivery of complex, impactful, and business strategy-aligned technology solutions. This role involves defining architectural blueprints, guiding development teams, and establishing robust architectural capabilities across the organization. The Lead Solutions Architect will be instrumental in translating business vision into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions, while fostering innovation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture Leadership

• Drive the definition and evolution of technology strategies and roadmaps aligned with overarching business objectives.
• Champion the adoption of modern architectural patterns and best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design).
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive solution blueprints, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.
• Provide architectural guidance and governance across multiple projects and initiatives.
• Lead the assessment and selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet business and technical requirements.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Lead the design of complex, end-to-end technology solutions, considering all architectural domains (application, data, infrastructure, security).
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Ensure solutions are designed for testability, reusability, and maintainability.
• Develop and present detailed solution designs, technical specifications, and business cases for stakeholder approval.
• Take ownership of the technical integrity and quality of delivered solutions.
• Work embedded within delivery teams to provide hands-on architectural support and ensure adherence to design principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Team Enablement & Capability Building

• Mentor and guide other architects and technical leads, fostering a culture of architectural excellence.
• Build and enhance the architectural capabilities of development teams through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization’s architecture principles, standards, and patterns.
• Promote and embed agile methodologies and DevOps practices within delivery teams.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with solution designs.
• Ensure solutions comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, security standards, and enterprise architectural guidelines.
• Oversee adherence to governance frameworks and participate in architecture review boards.
• Manage technical dependencies and ensure sustainable, enterprise-ready solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential application within the organization.
• Drive innovation in solution design and delivery processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural practices and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Lead Solutions Architect or in a similar senior architectural role, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered complex solutions.

Deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise-level applications.

Mastery of modern architectural styles and patterns (e.g., Microservices, SOA, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design).

Proficiency in various technology domains, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, data management, and security principles.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in mentoring technical teams and building architectural capability.

Proven ability to manage technical risks and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
