The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and a track record of 10+ years in solar design, with proficiency in PV design tools, knowledge of high- and medium-voltage systems, and strong remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design/engineering.
• Proficient in PV design software: PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
• Deep knowledge of PV modules, inverters, storage, and grid interconnection.
• Proven ability to lead design teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of utility-scale and commercial solar PV systems.
• Develop layouts, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and BOMs.
• Perform energy yield assessments and simulations.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, NRS, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, bill of materials, and construction drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
• Extensive experience with solar design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Deep understanding of PV module technologies, inverter functionality, battery storage systems, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage complex design projects effectively.
• Strong knowledge of national and international electrical codes and standards applicable to solar installations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote team environment.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or equivalent registration is highly desirable.
• Experience with medium and high-voltage system design is a significant advantage.
