Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead critical projects in the sustainable energy sector. You will oversee development and execution of solar, wind, or other renewable energy installations in the Upington area and beyond.

Responsibilities include site assessment, permitting, construction, and commissioning, while managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy installations, including planning, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial viability and cost control.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site feasibility studies and risk assessments for potential renewable energy projects.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
