Job summary

BA Personnel is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and cost control for major infrastructure projects in South Africa. You will manage budgeting, cash-flow, subcontract administration, and final accounts, while mentoring junior QS staff.

Candidates should have a BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying with 8+ years on large sites; knowledge of NEC/FIDIC/JBCC contracts and renewable/HV experience is highly valued. Willingness to travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• BSc or BTech Quantity Surveying is required.
• 8+ years on general or major construction sites with cost control experience.
• Experience with NEC, FIDIC, GCC and JBCC contracts; renewable/HV electrical exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, cash-flow forecasting, and commercial performance.
• Administer subcontracting, payments, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities; report at project reviews.
• Liaise with stakeholders to minimise disputes and ensure timely certifications.
