Job summary

Oxyon People Solutions is seeking a Senior Solar Design Engineer based in Stellenbosch, South Africa. In this role, you will lead the technical design process for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring engineering excellence from pre-development to execution. Collaborate with global teams, enhance design standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in PV system design, particularly with utility-scale projects.
• Deep understanding of PV system architecture and grid integration.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design scope for solar PV and BESS projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance simulations.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and construction packages.
