Job summary

Oxyon People Solutions seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive solar PV, battery storage, and grid-infrastructure projects from development through construction, commissioning and operations in South Africa.

You will provide technical governance, oversee multidisciplinary teams and EPC contractors, manage budgets and schedules, ensure safety and quality, and facilitate grid connections, permitting and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Current ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
• Proven leadership experience in renewable energy, power or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of EPC delivery, construction, commissioning and operations and maintenance.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and engineering governance across projects.
• Oversee project execution, resource planning, budgets and schedules.
• Manage EPC contractors, engineering consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review engineering designs, specifications and technical submissions.
• Oversee quality, safety, project risks and delivery performance.
• Support grid connections, permitting, procurement and commissioning.
• Coordinate project reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
