Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects in Randburg's power generation division. You will oversee scope, budget, schedule, and resources to deliver high-quality, safe outcomes for power plant infrastructure and upgrades.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and regulators, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining stringent safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering and management with a focus on power generation facilities.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of power generation projects from conception through to completion.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and final project close-out documents.
