Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer to head operations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will guide a team of engineers in designing and implementing complex mechanical systems for industrial applications, setting technical direction and ensuring design integrity.

The role requires a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years in mechanical engineering with 2+ in leadership, and expertise in CAD/CAE/FEA/CFD. Hybrid work arrangement offered as part of a dynamic, innovation-driven team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, with at least 2 years in lead/supervisory role.
• Expertise in mechanical system design, analysis, and simulation tools (CAD/CAE/FEA/CFD).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in design and development of innovative mechanical systems.
• Define and implement technical strategies and roadmaps for mechanical projects.
• Oversee the full design process from concept to production support.
• Conduct CFD/FEA analyses to optimize performance and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
