Job summary

Weir Minerals in Port Elizabeth is seeking an Engineer Shift Leader to guide the maintenance team, plan and execute repairs, and oversee maintenance programs ensuring continuous operation at our site. The role requires a Qualified Artisan – Electrician or Millwright with 5–7 years of foundry experience and supervisory background.

It is onsite with a strong safety focus and collaboration across departments to deliver reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Artisan – Electrician or Millwright with foundry experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant foundry experience.
• Supervisory and leadership experience.
• Sound SHE knowledge and high tension electrical experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team to ensure efficient planning, repairs and maintenance.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage equipment schedules and spare parts.
• Ensure activities comply with OSHACT, SANS 10142 and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments for maintenance needs and safe conditions.
• Uphold zero-harm safety culture and practices.
