Placements24 is seeking a Lead Litigation Attorney to head the legal team in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role demands an experienced litigator with a deep understanding of civil litigation, dispute resolution, and strategic case management.

You will oversee complex civil matters from filing to resolution, mentor junior attorneys, develop innovative litigation strategies, and represent clients in court, arbitrations, and mediations within Port Elizabeth.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 10 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in civil litigation, including commercial disputes, debt recovery, and contractual disagreements.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a legal team.
• Exceptional courtroom advocacy skills and strong understanding of procedural law.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
• A strong ethical compass and commitment to professional integrity.
