Placements24 is seeking a Land Development Engineer to join our client in Kimberley. The role focuses on civil engineering aspects of land development, including site planning, grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting, to transform raw land into functional sites for residential, commercial or industrial use.

The successful candidate will collaborate with surveyors, architects, and municipal authorities to ensure compliance with zoning and engineering standards within the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles.
• Knowledge of local municipal development regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design site plans, grading, and erosion control measures for development projects.
• Design utility systems, including water supply, sewer, and stormwater drainage.
• Coordinate with surveyors to establish site boundaries and topography.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and construction drawings for permits.
• Liaise with municipal planning departments and regulatory agencies.
• Provide construction support and oversight for site development activities.
