Job summary

Lumina Personnel is seeking a Senior Interior Designer in Durban to lead luxury projects across residential, retail, hospitality, and corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience, strong project management skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software.

This position requires overseeing projects from concept to completion while mentoring junior designers and managing client relationships. A diploma or degree in Interior Design/Architecture is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes.
• Oversee space planning, layouts, FF&E, and finishes selection.
• Produce and review 2D drawings, 3D models, and renderings.
• Manage clients, suppliers, contractors, and project timelines.
• Mentor junior and intermediate designers.
• Conduct site visits, installations, and quality inspections.
