We're looking for an experienced insurance finance professional to take ownership of technical insurance reporting in the group and become a trusted advisor within our growing insurance business. If you're a qualified CA(SA) with strong insurance experience in IFRS 17 regulatory reporting and have passion for financial analysis, reporting excellence and stakeholder engagement, we'd love to hear from you

About the Role

As the Lead Insurance Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for leading insurance accounting and reporting activities across the business, ensuring robust financial controls, insightful reporting and compliance with technical accounting and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for technical insurance accounting (IFRS 17) as well as assist with insurance regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present technical accounting papers to senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Drive the development, enhancement and automation of insurance reporting processes and controls.
• Coordinate insurance budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting packs.
• Deliver detailed financial performance analysis and variance reporting.
• Produce executive-level reports and presentations for Exco, Board and Audit Committees.
• Lead competitor and insurance industry financial analysis.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Build strong relationships across Insurance, Finance and Group functions.

Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant

Required Skills

• 3-5 years' experience within insurance finance, accounting, reporting or financial management
• Strong IFRS 17 and regulatory reporting experience in an insurance environment
• Proven experience in financial analysis
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes
• Ability to engage, influence and present to senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial thinking skills
