Placements24 is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to guide a global, fully remote team in creating engaging digital learning experiences. You will set strategic direction for instructional design, ensure quality, and champion innovative pedagogical approaches across diverse learning formats.

The role requires a master’s degree in instructional design or related field and at least six years of experience, including leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of instructional design experience with at least 2 years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Experience designing and developing digital learning formats (e-learning, webinars, simulations).
• Proficiency with Storyline/ Captivate and LMS platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global team.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing online education platform, is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Instructional Designer to join their fully remote team. This leadership position will involve guiding a team of instructional designers in creating engaging, effective, and scalable digital learning experiences for a global audience. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for instructional design, ensuring the highest standards of quality, and championing innovative pedagogical approaches. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio demonstrating successful design and development of complex e-learning solutions, coupled with excellent leadership and project management skills. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, multimedia developers, and curriculum specialists to bring learning concepts to life. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in designing and developing a variety of digital learning formats (e-learning, webinars, simulations, etc.).
• Expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and evaluation methods.
• Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and project management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote team environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating a range of successful instructional design projects.
• Experience in curriculum development for higher education or corporate training is a plus.
