Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Lead Sound Designer to spearhead the audio direction for cutting-edge immersive experiences. You will create and implement soundscapes that enhance user engagement and bring virtual worlds to life, collaborating with development and creative teams to define the sonic identity of projects.

This role requires a deep understanding of post-production, Foley, mixing, and interactive audio systems, and offers a hybrid work model, access to state-of-the-art

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in sound design, with a focus on interactive media or game development.
• Expertise in DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase) and interactive audio middleware (Wwise or FMOD).
• Strong knowledge of acoustics, psychoacoustics and audio signal processing; proven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and implement sound effects, music, and voiceovers for interactive projects.
• Develop and manage audio assets for consistency and quality across project elements.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to integrate audio dynamically into interactive environments.
• Oversee and mentor a team of sound designers with creative direction and technical guidance.
• Conduct audio mixing and mastering for optimal sound quality across platforms.
