Placements24 in Richards Bay, South Africa, seeks a Formulation Scientist to design and optimize dosage forms for new and existing products. You will collaborate with pre-formulation, analytical development and manufacturing teams to deliver stable medicines and successful scale-up.

The role requires at least a Master's or Ph.D. in a related field and a minimum of four years' hands-on experience in formulation development, with strong documentation and regulatory submission skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
• At least 4 years in formulation development.
• Experience with dosage forms and manufacturing processes.
• Strong documentation for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop novel pharmaceutical formulations (tablets, capsules, injectables, topical).
• Perform pre-formulation studies and API characterization.
• Optimize formulation parameters for release, bioavailability and stability.
• Scale up from lab to pilot and commercial manufacturing.
• Collaborate with analytical teams to develop and validate methods.
