Placements24 in Gauteng is seeking a Lead Fiber Optic Deployment Specialist to spearhead critical fiber infrastructure projects in the Tembisa region. This hands-on leadership role oversees planning, design, and execution of high-speed networks for residential and commercial customers.

You will guide field teams, coordinate with contractors and authorities, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of deployment milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in fiber optic deployment and management.
• Proven experience leading and supervising field teams.
• Strong knowledge of fiber types, installation, splicing, and testing equipment (OTDR, Power meters).
• Familiarity with civil works for underground and aerial deployment.
• Understanding of FTTx architectures and deployment strategies.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Tembisa, Gauteng area.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in fiber optics (e.g., FOA) is a plus.
