About the Role

Our client, a major player in the mining sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Environmental Scientist to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is essential for ensuring that all mining operations adhere to stringent environmental regulations and best practices. The Lead Environmental Scientist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental management systems, conducting impact assessments, and overseeing compliance monitoring. We are looking for a strong leader with deep knowledge of environmental legislation relevant to the mining industry in South Africa. This position requires excellent communication skills to liaise with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring sustainable mining practices.

Key Responsibilities
