Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Architect to design and oversee enterprise-wide security infrastructure in Sandton. You will set technical direction, evaluate technologies, and ensure security is embedded across the IT landscape.

You will lead security engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and drive threat modeling, risk assessments, and governance. This role offers executive-level compensation and extensive development opportunities within a premier organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 10+ years in information security, with at least 5 in security architecture.
• Experience designing security across on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment, and governance principles.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable security solutions for on-prem and cloud.
• Develop security architecture standards, blueprints, and roadmaps.
• Lead evaluation of security technologies and vendors for best-fit solutions.
• Provide guidance to security engineers and IT teams on security best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews for critical projects and mitigate risks.
