Placements24 is seeking an experienced Advanced Electrical Systems Technician to join a leading smart building technology company in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, with a focus on complex systems.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, and electronic components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
Experience with building automation systems (BAS), smart home technology, and security systems is highly desirable.
Relevant trade certification or qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4 Electrician) is essential.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver''s license and the ability to travel within Stellenbosch and the wider Western Cape region.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and maintain advanced electrical systems, including lighting control, power distribution, and integrated building management systems.
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults and system malfunctions in residential and commercial settings.
Interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Perform diagnostic testing on electrical systems using specialized equipment.
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful system integration and client satisfaction.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Maintain accurate logs of all service calls, repairs, and system updates.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology and building automation.
