Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Technician to join our clients' team. You will install, maintain and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, ensuring code compliance.

The role requires reading blueprints, diagnosing faults, and working across project sites with project managers and other trades. A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites around Stellenbosch are essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Electrical Installation Technician or Electrician.
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, safety procedures, and relevant codes (e.g., SANS 10142).
Ability to read and understand complex technical diagrams and specifications.
Valid driver''s license and ability to travel across Stellenbosch area.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics to plan installation layouts.
Connect power cables, circuit breakers, and control systems according to specifications.
Perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems and troubleshoot faults.
Ensure installations comply with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Manage electrical installation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
