Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology with a specialization in child/adolescent development.
• HPCSA registration as Educational or Clinical Psychologist is required.
• 6+ years post-qualification experience with children/adolescents in educational or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead psycho-educational assessment and intervention strategies for students.
• Provide psychological support and counseling for academic, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
• Conduct psycho-educational assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and stakeholders to create supportive learning environments.
• Develop and deliver training workshops for educators and parents on child development, learning disabilities, and mental health.
• Oversee junior psychologists and support staff, providing supervision at the Soweto center.
• Stay current with research and best practices in educational psychology and child mental health.
• Contribute to policy development and program evaluation within the organization.
• Advocate for psychological and educational needs of students within the school system and Gauteng community.
