Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to head our Security Operations Center in Randburg, Gauteng. You will guide a team of analysts, oversee threat detection and response, and shape advanced security strategies to protect customer data and online transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent extensive experience.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in a lead/manager role.
• Lead SOC team and operations experience.
• Expertise in SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security monitoring tools.
• Strong threat intelligence, incident response, and forensics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with scripting and automation for security tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with e-commerce industry and Randburg, Gauteng advantageous.

Responsibilities

This position is based on-site, fostering direct collaboration and mentorship within the team and across departments. Key Responsibilities
