Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client in Midrand. You will lead threat detection, incident response, and security operations to safeguard digital assets and sensitive data while promoting a culture of security awareness.

In this role, you will monitor SIEM alerts, investigate incidents, and implement remediation; develop security policies; perform vulnerability assessments and pen tests; and collaborate with IT teams to strengthen defenses across all systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and security best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance.
