Placements24 is seeking a Lead Curriculum Developer for a fully remote, contract-based role focusing on STEM education. This is a fully remote, contract-based position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curricula for online and blended learning environments. You will lead a team of curriculum specialists, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to create engaging, effective, and standards-aligned educational content. This role requires a deep understanding of pedagogical principles, curriculum design frameworks, and the latest trends in STEM education. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of K-12 STEM curricula for online platforms, incorporating interactive elements and real-world applications.
• Manage a team of curriculum developers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure all curriculum materials are aligned with relevant educational standards and learning objectives.
• Conduct research into new pedagogical approaches and technologies to enhance STEM learning experiences.
• Develop assessment strategies and tools to measure student learning outcomes effectively.
• Oversee content creation, including lesson plans, activities, digital resources, and assessments.
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate curriculum into learning platforms.
• Review and revise existing curriculum materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and pedagogical soundness.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for curriculum development initiatives.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions for educators on curriculum implementation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum Development, STEM Field, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in curriculum design and development, with a significant focus on STEM education.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams of educators or content developers.
• In-depth knowledge of curriculum design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and educational standards (e.g., Next Generation Science Standards).
• Experience developing curriculum for online or blended learning environments.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning technologies.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Portfolio showcasing successful curriculum development projects is required.
