Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Sanitation Manager to oversee sanitation operations across a portfolio in Rustenburg, North West. You will develop and execute hygiene strategies for large-scale facilities, lead a team, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years in sanitation management, with strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations. Excellent leadership and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in sanitation management, preferably in commercial real estate or facilities management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning science, chemical applications and sanitation equipment.
• Thorough understanding of OHS regulations and environmental compliance.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine sanitation plans for commercial properties.
• Lead and train a sanitation team, conduct performance evaluations and motivate staff.
• Oversee procurement and management of cleaning supplies, equipment, and technology.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage the sanitation department budget and identify cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
• Implement innovative solutions to improve cleaning efficiency and effectiveness.
• Respond to escalated sanitation issues or client complaints and resolve them.
• Maintain detailed records of operations, staff performance, and compliance metrics.
