Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Sanitation Specialist for its Centurion, Gauteng facilities. The role focuses on planning and executing detailed cleaning protocols to maintain a safe and pristine environment for employees and visitors.

The candidate will manage sanitization processes, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, with opportunities for growth within the Centurion region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial/industrial cleaning and sanitation.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfection procedures and best practices.
• Experience with operating industrial cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety standards (OSHA/local codes).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cleaning schedules for offices, restrooms, common areas and production zones.
• Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of surfaces, equipment and high-traffic areas.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning machines such as buffers and vacuums.
• Conduct regular inspections and address areas needing attention.
• Train and supervise junior cleaning staff as needed.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and incidents.
• Collaborate with facility management to improve hygiene standards in Centurion.
