Placements24 is seeking a results-oriented Project Engineer - Civil to join our client in Queenstown, South Africa. You will lead civil infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion, managing budgets, schedules and resources while ensuring safety and high-quality standards.

As a key leader, you will oversee site teams, coordinate with clients and contractors, and drive project progress in a dynamic environment that emphasizes technical expertise and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or as a project engineer on civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contract administration, and project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design coordination, procurement, and construction oversight.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project progress and resolve issues.
• Prepare project progress reports, technical documentation, and manage project documentation effectively.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
