Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in childcare; at least 2 in supervisory/leadership roles.
• Knowledge of national/provincial ECD frameworks.
• Strong leadership, team management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and record-keeping.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Passion for child advocacy and inclusive practices.
• Willingness to relocate to George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of childcare educators and assistants.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate early learning programs and activities.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under care.
• Manage daily operations of the childcare facility, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and families.
• Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
