Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Biostatistician to join its clinical development team in Upington. The role involves design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data, ensuring statistical integrity for regulatory submissions and publications.

You will collaborate with clinical scientists, data managers, and fellow statisticians to develop SAPs, perform modeling, and generate reports. A strong quantitative background and experience in SAS or R are essential, with a passion

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biostatistician in pharma or clinical research.
• Proficiency in SAS or R software packages.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design and regulatory requirements (ICH).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial protocols with sample size calculations and SAPs.
• Perform statistical analysis of trial data using SAS/R.
• Interpret results and translate findings for clinical teams.
• Develop and validate statistical methodologies for clinical data.
• Prepare statistical sections for regulatory submission documents (IND/NDA/CSRs).
• Stay current with advances in statistical methods for pharma research.
