• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Biostatistician to join their growing clinical development team, based in Upington . This role is integral to the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data, ensuring the statistical integrity and validity of research findings. You will work closely with clinical scientists, data managers, and other statisticians to develop statistical analysis plans, perform complex statistical modeling, and generate reports that support regulatory submissions and publications. The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background and a passion for applying statistical methods to advance pharmaceutical research.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial protocols, including sample size calculations and development of statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
• Perform statistical analysis of clinical trial data using appropriate statistical software (e.g., SAS, R).
• Interpret statistical results and collaborate with clinical teams to translate findings into meaningful conclusions.
• Develop and validate statistical methodologies for clinical data analysis.
• Prepare statistical sections of regulatory submission documents (e.g., IND, NDA, CSRs).
