Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Lead Backend Developer in Tembisa to architect, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems powering our core products. You will lead a talented team of developers, mentor them, and drive technical excellence through best practices and innovation.

This role demands 7+ years in backend development with at least 2 years in a lead capacity, deep expertise in Java, Python, Go, or C#, and solid SQL/NoSQL experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of backend development with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Extensive experience with server-side languages (Java, Python, Go, or C#).
• Strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge with performance tuning and schema design.
• Cloud and microservices experience (AWS/Azure).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers.
• Define coding standards and architectural patterns for backend development.
