Job summary

Watershed Consulting in Durban is seeking a Working Workshop Foreman to bridge technical expertise and supervisory duties. You will diagnose, repair, and service modern vehicle systems while driving workshop productivity and CSI.

You will mentor staff, manage non-billable time, and enforce a strict one-shot repair policy in a busy dealership or workshop. Ideal candidates will have advanced diagnostics skills, robust supervision experience, and solid knowledge of OHS Act and warranty procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
• Advanced diagnostic and repair skills across current vehicle systems.
• Experience supervising and mentoring workshop staff.
• Strong knowledge of OHS Act and warranty procedures.
• Excellent communication and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, inspections, and routine maintenance per manufacturer specs.
• Supervise and mentor workshop staff and apprentices.
• Monitor labor targets, efficiency, and waste controls.
• Oversee quality control, road tests, and quotations.
• Maintain clean, compliant work areas and coordinate with Parts and Service.
