Placements24 is seeking a Lead Architectural Drafter in the Western Cape to oversee drafting for prestigious residential estates in the Paarl region. You will lead a small team, manage workloads, and ensure technical integrity by coordinating with architects and engineers.

The role focuses on high-end residential architecture with attention to detail and adherence to building standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, expert AutoCAD skills, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in architectural technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an architectural drafter in residential projects.
• Strong CAD proficiency with experience in AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the architectural drafting team, overseeing drawing production and quality control.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and detail drawings for residential estates.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, compliant with building codes, and reflect design intent.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural designs and engineering information.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and construction documentation packages.
• Maintain drawing registers and manage revisions effectively.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior drafters.
