Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Lead Automotive Software Architect in Tembisa, Gauteng, to define the software architecture for ADAS. You will guide the design of perception, planning, and control modules, and align software with automotive safety standards.
You will mentor engineers, collaborate with system and hardware teams, and drive the ADAS roadmap. A Master’s or PhD and 10+ years in software, including 5+ in automotive architecture, are required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in automotive software architecture.
- Experience designing ADAS features like ACC, LKA, AEB.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and embedded RTOS environments.
Responsibilities
- Define high-level software architecture for ADAS features.
- Oversee integration of software components and third-party solutions.
- Establish coding standards, patterns and best practices.
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
- Conduct architectural reviews for safety compliance.
- Drive ADAS roadmap and translate requirements into design.
- Evaluate new technologies for adoption in ADAS.
