Job summary

Tiger Consumer Brands Ltd. is seeking a Newly Qualified CA or BCom Accounts holder to lead the accounting function for a business unit in Secunda.

You will oversee the GL integrity, processing monthly journals, reconciliations, cost analyses and asset registers to support accurate financial reporting in an FMCG environment. The role requires strong communication, business analytics and supervisory skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified CA or BCom Accounts degree with 2–3 years accounting experience in FMCG environment.
• Must have strong communication and business analytics skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Oracle; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the GL by processing monthly journals, reconciliations, cost analysis, inventory reporting and fixed asset register maintenance.
• Assist auditors and ensure consistent application of internal controls; lead control and monitor the functions of all admin staff.
• Analyse weekly financial accounts and plan the cash flow of the bakery; review debtors ageing ledger weekly; attend stock counts and reconcile stock movements weekly.
• Compile annual budgets and year-end accounts and schedules; implement financial standards, policies and internal controls aligned to the Bakeries BMR.

You are responsible to report the financial performance of a selected business unit. You need to make sure that the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial records are maintained, in accordance with IFRS. You will be providing oversight of the activities and performance of the accountants in your team.

What you will do:

• You are focused on ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the GL by processing monthly journals, preparing reconciliations, cost analysis, inventory reporting and fixed asset register maintenance.
• You will assist internal and external auditors with information/feedback requested and ensure consistent application of internal controls.
• Lead control and monitor the functions of all admin staff
• Analyse weekly financial accounts.
• Plan the cash flow of the bakery and monitor bank accounts.
• Review debtor's ageing ledger weekly.
• Attend monthly stock counts and reconcile stock movements weekly.
• Compile annual budgets.
• Compile year-end accounts and schedules.
• Implement Financial Standards, Policies and Procedures and internal Controls aligned to the Bakeries BMR (Basic Minimum Requirements).

Key attributes and competencies

• Newly Qualified CA or Bcom Accounts degree with 2 to 3 years accounting and administrative in a FMCG environment

• Experience: 2-3 years accounting experience in a lead or supervisory role within FMCG / Manufacturing or similar
