Job summary

Tiger Consumer Brands Ltd. in Sasolburg seeks a Chartered Accountant to review, analyze and report on bakery trading results, and to provide recommendations to the Bakery Manager.

The role ensures Financial Standards, Policies, Internal Controls, and accurate budgeting with proper balance sheet control. You will manage the GL, journals, reconciliations, cash flow planning and year-end schedules.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA – non negotiable.
• 2–3 years accounting experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Oracle.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly journals and perform reconciliations for GL.
• Assist auditors with information and ensure internal controls.
• Lead admin staff and monitor weekly financial accounts.
• Plan cash flow and monitor bank accounts for the bakery.
• Review debtor ageing and participate in stock counts weekly.
• Prepare annual budgets and year-end schedules.
• Implement standards, policies, and internal controls per BMR.

The accountant's job is to review, analyze and report on trading results of the bakery and makes recommendations to the Bakery Manager.

Ensure Financial Standards, Policies and Procedures and Internal Controls are adhered to.

Manage all weekly and monthly financial accounts, accurate budgeting and ensure the accuracy of profits and balance sheet control accounts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• You are focused on ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the GL by processing monthly journals, preparing reconciliations, cost analysis, inventory reporting and fixed asset register maintenance.
• You will assist internal and external auditors with information/feedback requested and ensure consistent application of internal controls.
• Lead control and monitor the functions of all admin staff
• Analyse weekly financial accounts.
• Plan the cash flow of the bakery and monitor bank accounts.
• Review debtor's ageing ledger weekly.
• Attend monthly stock counts and reconcile stock movements weekly.
• Compile annual budgets.
• Compile year-end accounts and schedules.
• Implement Financial Standards, Policies and Procedures and internal Controls aligned to the Bakeries BMR (Basic Minimum Requirements).
