Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Component Technician specializing in Landing Gear for a workshop in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on overhaul, repair, and testing of complex landing gear assemblies to ensure airworthiness and safety.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical landing gear systems, with a strong ability to diagnose and certify components to aviation standards.

Competenze

• Recognised qualification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' hands‑on experience with aircraft landing gear systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics related to landing gear.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings and repair schemes.

Mansioni

• Overhaul and repair landing gear components including struts, actuators, brakes and wheels.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, reassemble landing gear units per data.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Perform functional tests to verify compliance with specifications.
• Document repairs, modifications and parts in records.
• Use precision measuring equipment and specialized tools accurately.
• Maintain thorough maintenance records and ensure safety compliance.
