Job summary

SciTech Placements is seeking a Chemical Sales Representative to grow and manage client portfolios across Gauteng. The role involves promoting laboratory chemicals, building relationships with labs and universities, presenting products, and coordinating with technical and logistics teams.

Required is a Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences and 2–5 years of science sales experience. A valid SA driver’s licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell laboratory chemicals and related products to existing and new clients
• Manage and grow a defined customer territory in Gauteng
• Build strong relationships with laboratories, universities, research institutions, and industrial clients
• Identify new business opportunities and close sales deals
• Conduct product presentations and provide technical sales support
• Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and sales reports
• Collaborate with internal technical and logistics teams
• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or similar
• 2-5 years' experience in laboratory chemical or scientific sales
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong understanding of laboratory environments and procurement processes
• Valid South African driver's licence and willingness to travel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
