Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd in Durban is seeking a Project Sales Representative to drive project sales and develop business across KwaZulu-Natal, engaging with developers, architects, and engineers to secure product specifications. The role focuses on building opportunities, maintaining a robust pipeline, presenting technical solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and strong customer service.

Travel across KwaZulu-Natal is expected.

Qualifications

• Matric; a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
• At least five years' experience in project sales, technical sales or business development within the construction industry.
• Experience selling construction materials, building products, construction chemicals or related technical solutions.
• Proven ability to develop project opportunities and build relationships with contractors, developers, consultants and other project decision-makers.
• Experience influencing product selection, specifications or procurement decisions.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills.
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and converting leads into business.
• Good technical aptitude and the ability to communicate product applications and solutions effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience would be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure sales opportunities across commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure construction projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with property developers, architects, quantity surveyors, consulting engineers, main contractors, subcontractors and distributors.
• Promote construction products and technical solutions, including adhesives, grouts, waterproofing systems, flooring solutions, concrete repair products and sealants.
• Engage with project stakeholders during the planning, design and construction phases to influence product specifications and purchasing decisions.
• Conduct client visits, project site meetings, product presentations and technical solution discussions.
• Work with internal technical teams to recommend suitable products and support customers with application-related queries.
• Identify upcoming projects through industry networking, project databases, consultant engagement and contractor relationships.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and follow up on tenders and proposals to convert opportunities into sales.
• Maintain an active project pipeline, accurate sales forecasts and customer records.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with internal sales, technical and logistics teams to ensure effective customer service and project delivery.
• Achieve sales targets, grow existing accounts and develop new business throughout KwaZulu-Natal.
