Job summary

Oaklands Global is seeking Investment Banking Analysts for its Industrials coverage based in NYC or their sunny Miami office. The role involves building complex financial models, performing in-depth company and market research, and preparing pitch materials for M&A and capital-raising mandates.

You will support live transactions, due diligence, and data-room coordination while delivering high-quality valuation analyses.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of M&A experience at a reputable firm.
• Masters or undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication; organized.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including building and maintaining financial models.
• Perform company, industry, and market research to support transaction recommendations.
• Prepare pitch materials, client presentations, and marketing documents for M&A and capital-raising mandates.
• Assist in the execution of live transactions, including due diligence, data-room management, and process coordination.
• Analyze financial statements and develop valuation materials using DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.

Our client closes 30+ deals a year between 200mm and 2bn USD in value, competitionwith the most prestigiousnames in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of valuation methods and the mechanics of M&A and private equity transactions.
• Strong technical capabilities, including advanced financial modelling and valuation skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication abilities—both written and verbal—and strong organizational habits.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team objectives.
