Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a leading investment firm in Johannesburg. You will support portfolio administration, valuations, and market research while assisting deal execution and fundraising activities.

You will build financial models, prepare investor materials, and manage information flow with external stakeholders through virtual data rooms. A strong background in private equity and valuations is required.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Bachelor's degree in finance.
• Master's degree in business or finance preferred.
• CA or CFA or equivalent qualification.
• 4–6 years of experience in private equity or infrastructure-related roles.
• Experience supporting execution of investment transactions.
• Strong financial modelling and valuations (DCF and other methods).

Responsibilities

• Provide portfolio administration support and investment valuations.

In this role, you'll provide portfolio administration support, including investment valuations, conduct market and investment research, and assist with deal execution across a diverse investment portfolio. You will also play a key role in fundraising activities by preparing investor marketing materials, building and maintaining financial models, and managing information flow with external stakeholders through virtual data rooms.

Requirements:

• Post graduate bachelor's degree in finance.
• A master's degree in business or finance will be an added advantage.
• A CA / CFA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in private equity and/ or equivalent (preferably infrastructure related).
• Experience in supporting execution of investment transactions.
• Sound experience in building & maintaining financial models non-negotiable.
• Sound experience in performing DCF and other valuations methodologies on portfolio companies non-negotiable.
